Meet the girls who inspire everything we do.

Aanchal

Aachal grew up in Dehradun and joined the Ashram in 2025. She’s all about computer science, and if it involves Python, even better. She wants to teach math and computer science one day, just to pass along what she’s picked up. Since moving to the Ashram, she’s learned a ton. She really likes how safe it feels there, and the study spaces actually help her dive into the stuff she loves. Outside of coding, Aanchal's got a soft spot for pizza and noodles.

Anjana

Anjana

Anjana showed up at the Ashram in 2024, all the way from Uttarkashi. Back home, her village schools just didn’t have much to offer, so she came looking for a place where she could really learn and grow. That’s where she found her thing: math and computer science. She especially loves the part in CS class where they play around with variables, and she’s gotten pretty into Excel too. She still doesn’t know exactly what she wants to do when she’s older, but honestly, she’s just excited to keep discovering new stuff every day. And if you ask her about food, rajma chawal is her answer. Every single time.

Tanya

Tanya

Tanya

Tanya grew up in Chakrata, and to her, the Ashram feels nothing like any school she’s known. Her mom pushed her to come here because life outside just didn’t seem safe. Since then, Tanya’s found something she didn’t expect: real structure, a tight-knit community, and a sense of safety she hadn’t felt before. She spends her free time crocheting, dreaming about going to college, maybe even joining the army someday. Computer class is a highlight; she loves sending funny printed notes to her friends and playing around with “if” statements. She really likes how the teachers break things down, “everything comes in our head,” she laughs. Sure, it can be tough for new students to get used to all the rules, but for Tanya, the discipline here actually helps everyone move forward. And after a long day of classes? She’s all about a plate of roti, chawal, daal, and sabji.
