Meet the girls who inspire everything we do.
Aanchal
Aachal grew up in Dehradun and joined the Ashram in 2025. She’s all about computer science, and if it involves Python, even better. She wants to teach math and computer science one day, just to pass along what she’s picked up. Since moving to the Ashram, she’s learned a ton. She really likes how safe it feels there, and the study spaces actually help her dive into the stuff she loves. Outside of coding, Aanchal's got a soft spot for pizza and noodles.

Anjana showed up at the Ashram in 2024, all the way from Uttarkashi. Back home, her village schools just didn’t have much to offer, so she came looking for a place where she could really learn and grow. That’s where she found her thing: math and computer science. She especially loves the part in CS class where they play around with variables, and she’s gotten pretty into Excel too. She still doesn’t know exactly what she wants to do when she’s older, but honestly, she’s just excited to keep discovering new stuff every day. And if you ask her about food, rajma chawal is her answer. Every single time.

Samiksha
Samiksha’s in Class 8 and dreams of dancing in Mumbai someday. She’s hooked on learning English, but computer science really gets her excited, especially Python. The lessons are actually fun, which just makes her want to learn more. She’s into Excel too, and always wants to pick up new things about computers. She grew up in Chakrata, but now, at the Ashram, she feels like she has everything she needs. Food, time to study, chances to try new things, it’s all there. She never feels like anything’s missing. Oh, and if you ask about her favorite meal? It’s rajma chawal, no contest.

Shriya
Shriya is in Class 7 and dreams of becoming an IPS Officer. She wants to go to college and continue learning. She really likes the Ashram and her classes, especially computer science. Her favorite part of Python is learning about loops.
Shriya was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, but her family now lives in Dehradun. She loves reading, enjoys using the Painter app on the computer, and likes to eat rajma chawal. Shriya hopes to learn more Python and take part in projects and competitions in the future.

Sanya
Sanya is in Class 7 and comes from Uttarkashi. She really likes the Ashram because she gets tutoring, good teachers, and a chance to learn every day. She did not study much when she lived in her village, but now she enjoys learning new things all the time. Her favorite subject is computer science, and she enjoys Python, especially printing messages and making variables. She says she likes integers more than strings. When she is not coding, Sanya enjoys watching K-dramas, listening to music, and watching YouTube Shorts, which she likes more than Instagram Reels. Sometimes she misses her village, but she is happy at the Ashram and feels that it gives her a safe place to grow. Her favorite meal is rajma chawal..
Sakshi really likes the Ashram because she gets to study and have fun at the same time. She enjoys computer science, especially Python, and loves learning how to print messages. If she could print anything, she says she would print “hello.” She also likes learning English and wants to keep improving. Outside of class, Sakshi enjoys watching YouTube Shorts, especially Super Dancer, which she says she really likes. She listens to music often, and her favorite song is Vaaste. Sometimes she watches reels too, but she still prefers Shorts. She also enjoys playing games in her free time. Sakshi is from Uttarkashi and wants to go to college and later join the army. She says her old school was very different from the Ashram since it didn’t have computer classes. Even though she sometimes misses her village, she says she has a lot of fun at the Ashram. Her favorite food is rajma chawal.

Pooja
Pooja's in Class 7 and joined the Ashram in 2024, all the way from Uttarkashi. She really seems to love it here, studying, playing, hanging out with friends, all of it. She’s got big plans too. When she grows up, she wants to be a doctor. Her favorite subject? Computer science, hands down. She’s especially into Python. Making variables, messing around with the Painter app she’s all in. When she’s not studying, you’ll probably find her singing. She says she’s into all kinds of music. And when she needs a break, she likes watching YouTube Shorts. She actually prefers them over Instagram Reels, mostly because she can catch Super Dancer clips there. Thinking back to her old school in the village, she says it was nothing like this place. The Ashram just has so much more. Here, she feels safe. She feels like she can really learn.
